PROBLEMS

• CAPTURING THE ESSENCE OF JAPANESE CULTURE:
One key challenge was balancing traditional Japanese aesthetics with the modern, fast-paced nature of drift racing. It was essential to create a UI that felt authentic while seamlessly fitting into the high-energy, futuristic atmosphere of the game.

reflecting the vibrant, neon-lit streets of Neo-Tokyo while maintaining clarity and usability for the player:
Incorporating traditional symbols, colors, and patterns into a sleek, user-friendly interface required careful attention to detail to ensure the design paid homage to Japan's cultural heritage without overwhelming the player.
SOLUTIONS

To address these challenges, graphic elements resembling brushstrokes were incorporated into the design, evoking the traditional Japanese art style. Japanese characters were used as supplementary elements for some of the headings, adding an authentic cultural touch while maintaining readability. The color scheme was inspired by the vibrant Neo-Tokyo aesthetic, with neon pinks and turquoises dominating the design, reflecting the energy and futuristic vibe of the setting. This combination of traditional and modern design elements helped to create a seamless blend of Japanese culture and the high-speed world of drift racing, ensuring both visual appeal and usability.
